Cherbourg Granola
My snack of choice has always been greek yogurt. Plain or adorned, it never lets me down. Thankfully, our produce suppliers sell it by the tub so I seldom run out. If I ever fall into said tub and you find me at the bottom, don't weep. I died happy. I know there are some who would love to receive all the health benefits of greek yogurt (protein, probiotics, calcium, etc.), but don't like the taste of it plain. Thankfully, you can now make our super simple Cherbourg granola to adorn your greek yogurt with sweet and salty goodness.
Our granola recipe is perhaps the most approachable and affordable recipe that there is. Most of the ingredients are probably already sitting in your pantry. In just twenty minutes, you will have the best granola to top your yogurt, a quick snack to take on-the-go, or a perfect cereal. And if you've ever shopped for gluten-free and especially nut-free cereals, you know it's not a simple search. I like my granola super simple, meaning plain but, of course perfectly seasoned, but no one's stopping you from adding whatever might strike your fancy (apricots, cherries, chocolate chips? go crazy). Our granola with greek yogurt will be a staple of Cherbourg Cyprus. Step inside, into our calm inviting space and enjoy a greek yogurt and granola with one of our pour-over coffees. It's the way breakfast should be done and we can't wait to serve it to you.

Cherbourg Granola
Ingredients
3 C. rolled oats
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 C. olive oil
1/3 C. honey
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C. chopped dried cherries or cranberries (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line rimmed cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In large bowl, toss together the oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
In a liquid measuring cup, measure the olive oil, honey, and vanilla.
Stir liquids into the oat mixture to combine.
Spread the granola on to the parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes. Toss the granola and bake for another 5 minutes.
If adding dried fruits, toss them into the granola after it has baked and is still warm.
Let cool on the cookie sheet (do not remove). It will eventually harden and you will be able to break it up and store it in bags or an airtight container.
