Butter

Butter is the great building block of baking. The best written of recipes stand tall with a great butter and fail with an inferior one. In my many years of baking, I've seen how greatly my product varies with the butter I'm using. I knew when I opened my own space, the fridges would be stocked with the best butter I could find. Enter, Hartzler Dairy. Being a bakery in the Midwest, we should have the best dairy possible. And Hartzler is the very best. Located in Wooster, Ohio, Hartzler has long been dedicated to farming in the most natural way possible, yielding dairy that is both minimally processed and downright delicious.

If you want to make baked goods that are consistently rich and delicious, use Hartzler butter.  Its golden color speaks to its happy, grass-fed cows and provides a Midas touch, of sorts, to any baked good it's in. Buying great quality butter is an insurance policy. Baking can take a great deal of time and the ingredients can be expensive, but if the base of your recipe is strong, whatever you've made is bound to be delicious. At first, it can be hard to break up with the idea of butter in "sticks," but not only does the roll insure a fresher product, you are able to be more precise by weighing the butter yourself. If you're unsure, please stop in and we'll show you how we weigh our butter. And you can grab yourself a roll or two from our fridge and start baking with a truly great butter.
